UP MSME Policy Incentive Assistance

The UP MSME Promotion Policy is the broad umbrella most other UP schemes sit under or alongside. If you're not sure where to start, this is the policy-level view: what it offers, and how each specific benefit within it connects to the more targeted schemes on this site.

Core Provisions

• Capital subsidy: 10–25% of investment in plant & machinery for new units and expansions — see Capital Subsidy Claim Assistance
• Interest subsidy: up to 50% of loan interest back annually, for up to 5 years, for Micro units — see Interest Subsidy Claim Assistance
• Technical Upgradation Scheme (TUS) / machinery subsidy: up to 50% of new machinery cost (capped ₹5 lakh) plus its own interest subsidy, for existing units — see Machinery Subsidy Claim Assistance

How It Connects to Other Schemes

The general MSME policy sits alongside, not in competition with, UP's other flagship schemes:

• ODOP — if your product matches your district's designated ODOP product, its own margin money/toolkit/CFC/marketing components are usually combinable with general policy benefits like capital and interest subsidy, since they reward different things
• MYSY and PMEGP — margin-money loan schemes for new businesses; you generally can't combine either with the general capital subsidy on the same unit, since both are investment-linked benefits
