State Sector Policy
UP Electronics Manufacturing Policy 2020 — Incentive Assistance
Up to 15% subsidy on Fixed Capital Investment (₹10 crore cap), 5% interest subsidy, and stamp duty exemption — targeting ₹40,000 crore in state investment and around 4 lakh jobs.
The Uttar Pradesh Electronics Manufacturing Policy 2020 was introduced to make the state a leading hub for electronics manufacturing, registered through the Nivesh Mitra portal.
Key incentives
- Investment up to ₹200 crore: 15% of Fixed Capital Investment (FCI), capped at ₹10 crore
- Larger/anchor investments (with infrastructure contribution): additional subsidy, up to ₹250 crore total, case-by-case
- Semiconductor/specified units in designated areas: up to 75% subsidy on land
- Interest subsidy: 5% on loans, capped at ₹1 crore/year
- Stamp duty: 100% exemption on the first land transaction, 50% on the second
Who it's for
- New units or expansions in the Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) sector
- This policy is sector-specific, not size-specific — but smaller units may find the general UP MSME Policy capital subsidy a better comparison point
How we help
The biggest pitfalls: miscalculating FCI (including land when it should be treated separately under the rules), asking for stamp duty exemption after registry (too late by then), and missing the special conditions for semiconductor/specified categories. We help you avoid all three:
- Calculating FCI correctly, separating land treatment per the notified rules
- Arranging stamp duty exemption before registry, not after
- Checking whether your unit qualifies for semiconductor/specified-category benefits like the additional land subsidy
- Registering and filing through Nivesh Mitra within the prescribed timeline
Message us your investment size and product category, and we'll tell you — free of charge — whether you qualify and what the next step looks like.
