UP Bio-Plastic Industry Policy 2024 — Incentive Assistance
Incentives for the anchor PLA manufacturing unit and for downstream converters, compounders, and biodegradable plastic manufacturers — we help you confirm eligibility and file your claim.
The UP Bio-Plastic Industry Policy, 2024 builds a domestic bioplastics manufacturing value chain anchored by a large PLA (polylactic acid) unit, of the order of ₹1,000 crore — but eligibility extends well beyond that scale.
Who it's for
- The anchor PLA manufacturing unit itself
- Compostable and biodegradable plastic manufacturers
- Compounders and converters
- Downstream product units
You don't need to be the mega-anchor investment to qualify — downstream converters and compounders are separately eligible, even though the headline incentive package is weighted toward the anchor.
Key incentives
- Capital subsidy
- SGST reimbursement
- Stamp duty and electricity duty relief
- Land support
What actually decides project viability
Two things: a firm feedstock tie-up (sugar mill linkage, or an equivalent starch source) and a workable effluent management plan. We flag these early, before you commit capital.
How we help
- Confirming whether your unit qualifies as anchor, converter, compounder, or downstream product manufacturer
- Helping you structure feedstock and effluent arrangements the way DIEPC verification expects
- Filing your application and following up through the Infrastructure & Industrial Development Department / Invest UP
Message us your position in the value chain and investment scale, and we'll tell you — free of charge — what applies to you.
