Subsidy Schemes
5 Government Subsidy Schemes Every UP Exporter Should Know About
24 June 2026 · Team
Most exporters we talk to are only aware of one or two schemes they could be using — usually because scheme information is scattered across different department websites and updated periodically. Here’s a quick overview of five worth knowing about.
1. RoDTEP
Refunds embedded duties and taxes on exported goods that aren’t refunded through other channels. Relevant to almost any exporter, provided your product category is covered.
2. ODOP (One District One Product)
A Uttar Pradesh state scheme tied to each district’s designated product — offers funding, market access support, and skill development for businesses producing that product.
3. PMEGP
A margin money subsidy on bank loans for setting up a new micro-enterprise. Most relevant if you’re setting up or expanding a manufacturing or service unit.
4. Interest subvention schemes
Several central and state programs reduce the effective interest rate on working capital or term loans for MSMEs and exporters, subject to eligibility criteria.
5. Export promotion / market development assistance
Support toward costs like trade fair participation, certification, or market research — aimed at helping smaller exporters access new international markets.
Where to start
Scheme eligibility usually depends on your Udyam classification, your product category, and sometimes your district. Rather than trying to match yourself against five different sets of guidelines, tell us about your business and we’ll tell you which of these (if any) you currently qualify for.
